A ride from Frankston could be good for those doing ATB and haven't seen that part of the course yet. There are also a few different options, depending on enery levels:
1. Frankston - Dromana (via Nepean Hwy) - Distance of around 60km return, includes the undulations between Frankston and Mornington followed by a good, 2km climb up 'Mount Martha'.
2. Frankston - Portsea (via Nepean Hwy) - Distance of around 110km. As above, follwed by a flat run from Dromana to Sorrento then slight undulations between Sorrento and Portsea (and the superb scenery at Portsea back beach).
3. Frankston - Portsea (via Arthurs Seat) - Distance of around 130km. Two options to get up Arthurs Seat - up the front (steep but relatively short) or up the back (White Hills Rd. Not as steep but longer), then down the peninsula via Browns Rd.
At this stage, weather is saying a shower or two, but it is spring, so that will probably change half a dozen times before Sunday.

Penny, can you confirm this?
Look on the bright side..I suppose at least you'll end up with a ride either way you turn
