Anyone else interested in riding to Warburton on the Saturday
Always interested, but I would have to tow along at least one or two kids and start from somewhere a bit closer than where you are probably suggesting. I love the Warby trail.

That's an excellent route. Very well thought out
When you get to Worri Yallock you will have a choice of continuing on-road along the Warburton Highway or riding on the trail. Your bike will handle the trail with no problems at all. I'll be going through Woori Yallock (on the trail) at approx 10.00AM so if you were to arrive there a little after 10 you'd probably catch up to us soon after. Note: I'll be on a green mountain bike, not the black road bike you saw at Jells.

OK, you'll be well ahead of us. I'll call you when we get to Warburton.
The trail is firm gravel (Lilydale toppings) - like so
Hi Greenalias, do you have any idea if the trail will be really busy this weekend. Thought I might do some of the trail with my hubby but he thought it might be too busy. Also do you know if we can park our car at the Seville cafe. Thought it might be easier for him if we don't have the climb back to Mt Evelyn later on.GreenAlias wrote:This Saturday looks like being a nice day (Sunny 22C) so I'm planning on riding out to Warburton to see the Bicycle Festival
I guess I'll start from Lilydale approx 9:00am, spend some time in Warburton seeing what the Festival has to offer, and then ride back to Lilydale. Anticipating a gentle cruise approx 18-20 Km/Hr with one stop arriving Warburton 11:30 - 11:45. On the return journey will definitely stop at the cafe at Seville before starting the climb to Mt Evelyn. Expecting to be back at Lilydale 3-4PM.
If anyone would like to join in please send me a PM for start times/locations & phone nos etc. If you feel that you'd like to spend more time in Warburton and return at a later time - there's no obligation to ride back with the group.
