Just to summarise, in order of importance for making good coffee:
1) Good quality, freshly roasted beans
2) Burr grinder = freshly ground coffee
3) Brewing method / equipment
Sweet I have a coffee place at the end of my street which has a retail shop and they roast their own beans there so I want to go check out them out week. They seem to sell the Gaggia home coffee machines and some grinders too.
Oh and my 3 cup Moka cost a whopping $9 - it's only aluminium but the shop I was at didn't have any that size in steel. They also freshly ground my beans for me, although I don't know how long ago they were roasted.
Just don;t put an Aluminium one in the dishwasher!
