Yeah, no problem. I was just thinking that Albury-Forbes is easy, stretch the legs at the Dish, then it's only 2 hrs (easy) to Dubbo, and I would think the chair access is really good; the paths are hardpacked gravel iirc and easy on bikes. Kill a morning there and they sleep back down towards the mountains with luck. My son used to travel well so we often did Coonabarabran-Melbourne, but it was simpler than your setup.
Capertee Valley is a nice geology alternative on the way back to the Blue Mountains. Jenolan caves - poor chair access to the caves but nice surrounds. Katoomba cafes.
