So, if you install the magnet on your crank (and, of course, mount the sensor somewhere that will sense it), you could have a dedicated cadence computer.
You might struggle with cable length... but if you're remotely handy with a soldering iron (or at dry-twisting wires and wrapping a bit of tape around them ) you can easily extend the cable.
Get two, so you can have one measuring cadence and the other measuring speed and distance like a normal non-cadence computer
who has been waiting many weeks for a few of them to arrive from DX, for a non-bike-related RPM-measuring application
