Excellent choice - have been enjoying my V6 for the last 13 months.
Test drove it back to back with the Liberty GT (and a few others) when I sold my Foz last year. The VW is just a nicer place to be.

Current model Liberty seems to get a really bad rap on Subaru forums and other places and mostly I think that's a cosmetic thing than anything substantive - previous model definitely better looking though.

Tried an Outback I think with CVT once - hated it. That said, DSG is not a whole lot better, I looked at the Octavia RS some time ago when car hunting and had one with the DSG on test for the whole weekend - no matter what VW say, its just an auto like many others and doesn't give you the control and feel that a proper manual does.
