RANS Rocket SWB Recumbent. $1800 or very near offer.
Purchased specifically for one holiday - a tour through France. I purchased this 20/20 bike because I couldn't realistically travel with my Lightning P-38 - it doesn't compact down as easily or as much as the Rocket. The Rocket just fits into a Ground Effects bag - the larger one.
I towed a Carry Freedom City trailer so the bike frame hasn't been stressed by racks.
Visit the RANS website at http://www.ransbikes.com/ for details of this recumbent.
The bike is less than 12 months old with low mileage. I paid $2459.89 to import the bike from the US. The trip has created a 25mm 'rub' on the front fork, which has been repaired. The seat has one minor thread pull and two small (3mm) abrasions.
It's a lovely ride. It will fit any most people because the seat slides back and forth and the angle is adjustable. There is no need to adjust chain length. It takes less than 2 minutes to set it up.
Rockets get snapped up quickly on the US market and they're rare as Hens teeth here. With virtually new Comet tyres and a lightweight seat cover that brings the bike weight down to just over 12 kg. I can bring the bike to Melbourne or pack and courier it at your cost - but that should be well under $100 Interstate.
