6.Museum Road - linking Queensberry to Getrude Streets - upgrade connection at Nicholson Streets end. A forest of unnecessary bollards and lack of storage space to accomodate east-west riders whilst voiding north-south path users along Nicholson Street needs to be resolved.

Wonder what Cr Nong has to say about that one - cycle route through the 'Carlton Gardens' "Never, over my dead body. Is illegal"
Cr Ken Ong wrote:"My view relating to the east-west link is very simple: walk the bike
across when entering the Carlton Gardens from either Nicholson Street
or Rathdowne Street. It is only a leasurely 3-4 minutes walk across.
One may even enjoy the view at that speed.....
.....I was walking along the eastern side of Rarthdowne Street heading south
when I was nearly taken out by 2 cyclists near Queensberry Street,
coming out of the Gardens, in between the bollards where there was
clearly a sign painted on the ground banning cycling. When I said to
them that they shouldn't be cycling through, all I received was a rude
reply and they sped off. One was male and one was female.
So, is it too much to ask the cyclists to alight from their bikes,
walk across to the other side and then get back on to continue their
ride? We have this arrangement in the Bourke Street Mall.....
