Personally I find myself looking for speed & red light cameras and at my speedo as I approach and go through an intersection in my car. This does not seem like the safest behaviour. But this is the behaviour being encouraged by our government.
anyone that has been driving long enough is able to judge the speed that they are going without looking at the speedo all the time
if you need to continue looking at your speedo for more then a quick glimpse i think it is time to hand your licence in, it only takes a quick glance for someoen to glance down take note of their speed and return back to looking at the road ahead
a good driver will know what is happening up the road before you approach it , so even you do look down at your speedo it shouldn't create too much trouble
+1 to this!
The skills in vehicle control and judgement seem to be (as admitted) significantly lacking by some on here.
