Well hooray for Euan. Unfortunately there are times when the rest of us make a judgement call that since "the door zone" extending from the complete reach of a fully opened right-hand door of a parked car to the complete reach of a fully opened left-hand door of a car stopped in traffic is something like 3m wide and usually wider than the available road space for riding, sometimes you just have to ride through a space where you could be in potential danger and have to be aware of it.
You're missing the point, which to be fair I probably didn't express clearly.
Driver inattention to the presence of cyclists is probably far more prevelant than the dooring stats suggest. I'm not the only cyclist who doesn't ride in the door zone.
