However we did have a problem a few years back in the toilets with an unaccapetable level of mess and stuff not for a polite forum such as this.
We dealt with it pretty easily by going straight to OH&S, they then sent a memo to the whole floor and put up the relevant offical singage, this was more effective than just one person putting up a sign as these tend to be ignored or written off as passive agressive.
It was a delicate issue, always is when dealing with matters of personal hygeine, however that's the sort of stuff OH&S have to deal with and in the end at my work it all worked out fine.
If all else fails give them a good spray with a bottle of Frebreeze
That was what I was on about, if you try and deal with the person individually all you'll get is tears before bedtime.
All I can think of is the cons, it needs to be dealt with via a complaint to someone senior who can pass it along to some who has authority over that area.
The fact the bloke is a fellow cyclist isn't close to relevant, he's a self centred slob and needs someone who he has to obey to bring him into line.
