It's all about location, location and location.
Yesterday, I spent the whole day being chauffeured around in a car by a relocation consultant, inspecting 7 rental properties. We submitted an application for one of these at about 1445, and got approval for it about 2 hours later. I've just paid the bond + some rent, and will be signing the lease this afternoon, so it's a done deal.
As I said: location! It's in Ringwood North, at about 160m elevation, surrounded by hills. Jells Park, Montrose and The Basin are all about 12.5km away, Kinglake about 37km, Eastland Shopping Centre about 1.5km (with train station nearby), and the Eastlink Trail and Mullum Mullum Creek Trail are both very close. Oh yes, and the RRR starts at Clocktower Park at the southwest corner of Eastland, correct?
Now I just have to plan my new commute.
I suspect it will be giving me plenty of exercise, compared to the flat Beach Rd commute.
I'll be moving there on Friday 11th.
Of course, you probably all think I'm a bit loopy, having just spent months planning a move to a location specifically designed to make cycling up mountains a bit more convenient.
But this location's just perfect. The house and property look quite nice, too.
