That was what stuck in my mind when I saw it, $60 a week in parking really helps the figures look good! How many people do pay that a week, every week? I've never worked in the CBD and never had to factor in parking, do people get weekly or monthly rates?
We're a one car household, but during the week it only gets used in the evenings about one day a week - I ride 5 days, other half goes by train or rides if the weather is good. Done the calculations on being no car and I really can't see it working for us. Weekends away and going out, taxis and hire cars come to more money + all the added hassle of "next available cab" might just be in ten minutes or might just be in fifty, and the time spent getting to and from hire car places and booking cars and cabs.
