But then, remains to be seen with respect to rider numbers, and any stats on altercations/injuries. As well as car traffic flow.
I don't think it will make much difference to accidents involving cyclists. Otoh, I think it will result in a huge reduction in the number of car-into-tram accidents - it is amazing how unpredictable a tram can be, but now the traffic light sequence clears the way for the tram to get through unscathed.

it all depends upon how many cyclists are doing it, as to how 'odd' it would look
