All through night the wind howled and the rain lashed down as I lay in bed contemplating the ride to work in the morning. The alarm went off and I determinedly jumped out and got dressed. My hubby whispered be careful and ring me if you get stuck.
Out into the black early morning traffic. The wind is howling right into my face as I set off down the bike path making progress quite slow. I finally popped out and into suburbia with the rain lashing down. Once through suburbia into the countryside, the rain stops and its stinking hot, no time to strip off as the traffic is building and theres no safe place to pull over.
Up into the 15km hilly section, cars screaming past, yahoo a tail wind to push me over the worst of the climb, then a cross wind, then more rain. Finally I can drop down over the top of the hill into the new Business sector I work in. Arrive at work, hot, wet and content. No decrease in time for me but a huge sense of satisfaction. Without all your comments about the weather I would still have been driving into work. Once your out there the weather is really quite irrelevent. I'm looking forward to the ride home. Have a great weekend everyone. T
