Anyone rinding on the Yarra Path betwen Burnley and Church St watch out for ice on a frosty morning.
This morning I went for a nice slide as I came down onto the floating path, smacked the ground pretty hard. Not as hard as the cyclist behind me who also came to the same fate, sliding like a penguin straight into me.
Anyone else noticed this? I always take a lot of care here but ice is not something I normally mess with. I think this deserves some signage because someone could really hurt themselves here especically with all the metal barriers around.
As for my own fate, apart from a bit of a graze and crooked handlebars nothing damaged aside from pride and an apple which rolled away into the river - at least the eels will be healthy.
