I popped out at the ordained hour and propped against the lights and spotted another cyclist waiting against the signal box on the city side of South Road...so I wandered over and asked if he was waiting. He asked if I was Weeeeeeee...he was in the right place (sounds like a Lazlo Woodbine thriller )
So Cycle-PAL is technically the first driver/passenger on the SE-AM. He set off at a cracking pace into the wind. I took over near Bay Street and aimed to take a constant speed...but that speedo of mine is all over the shop...I can only tell if it's constant by how fast my legs are spinning...so I resorted to that. There's not much chatting to be had on the main Nepean Hwy bit - hard to ride 2 abreast along there...but once past Glenhuntly Road...quite easy to back off and chat all the way into town (except CP dropped off to turn right at High St into Prahran).
