I have been mulling over this idea for some time now and as my computer skills are fairly ordinary to say the least I have now got some idea how to create some bikely maps. If someone can help me to attach the links I would be very appreciative and then I can explain in
detail how it all comes together. The ride is approx. 313kms and involves 2 ferry crossings. It is aimed at the likes of duckmeister, mhayli, awhear etc who are members of the ironbum club and involves some critical timing to pull it off. I certainly haven't got the skills but would consider a
support role for anyone who wants to make the attempt. Anyway looking for some help before I can proceed.
Just to clarify things. This proposal isn't twice around
Port Phillip. It's around two bays in
the one ride. ie. Port Phillip and Western Port. The route is Docklands to Queenscliff - 112kms and catch the 9.00am ferry to Sorrento. Sorrento to Stony Point via Dromana - 47kms to catch the 12 noon ferry to Cowes. Cowes to Docklands via Frankston - 152 kms. All up 313kms. The trick here is to make the ferries on time as there are no alternatives for the Cowes ferry unless we get more than 30 and we can charter our own, but that decreases the challenge.
