Otherwise, there is all-day parking to be had not far from the CBD, in all directions. It'll only be a 3-5km roll to the start from there. Easy in the morning. A little harder in the evening... think of it as a cool down.

Last year we parked a few blocks down near Macarthur st or something Sth Melb. and started from there. Easy enough to roll up to the start - it can't be more than few kms.
