I wouldn't tell others so, but I'd feel that myself.
If I was going for a 200km+ ride "around the bay", it would be a complete circuit. I simply wouldn't be interested in doing a long ride halfway around the bay and back. If that was the only option, I'd stay home.
Kudos to anybody who can muster the enthusiasm to do such a ride without the incentive of chalking up a clear milestone (such as "a lap of the bay").
For me, as a beginner, the distance in itself will be the milestone:) The alternative would have been the 100 km, but I think why settle for that if I am capable of 210?
