I had three pieces of toast & a coffee for breakfast, really just to top up the big pasta feed the night before. Got the BV-supplied lunch at Queenscliff, and found something to munch on when I got back to the "proper" finish. For the rest, I had my pockets loaded with energy bars & gels, and took one of either every hour. My drink bottles were filled with Gatorade (I hadn't discovered my now-preferred Torq electro/energy mix back then), and I had several zip-lock bags with a drink-bottle dose of powder in each to fill up with on the way.
I took enough bars & gels to allow for up to 13 hours riding time; in the end the actual riding was just shy of 11 hours, but factoring in the ferry & a couple of other stops, the trip was 14 hours door-to-door.
