Starting elsewhere would sort of miss the gist and atmosphere of the ride in general.
This is a first time ATB for me but I'm feeling somewhat overwhelmed at what the start is going to be like and I have had experience trying to load and unload sheep on a ship. Bloody hard work.
As for dumping recumbent riders at the rear is like finding a place for the lepers because they think they should, sort of, include them. Sort of.
I would agree they should start with their respective speed groups but for knowing what a pain in the arse it could be to find comparable speed riders I can understand hiding in the side streets waiting to pounce into a better ride-able stream.
I'll also be riding a Bacchetta Corsa with a yellow bag and willing (just) to be an ambassador for recumbent riders and do the right thing (maybe).
