The funniest story I heard was that people were waiting on the station platforms at Little River & Lara but couldn't get on the trains because of all the cyclists who had got on at Geelong & North Geelong!!
But seriously, that storm once it passed cleared out most of the riders and the sky cleared and made it one of the better ATBs that I have been on.
That was absolute misery. Especially waiting to get onto the ferry at Queenscliff.
My friends and I were bordering on hypothermia. Those paper lunch bags that BV handed out got soggy and fell apart.
That said, at least I was prepared.
