RACV 160km Rosebud return
The RACV 160km Rosebud return showcases Melbourne's bayside suburbs as it journeys along Beach Road and Nepean Hwy.
Ride features: Coastal and closed roads
Riders will start in Alexandra Gardens and travel through Mordialloc, Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula to Rosebud where they'll turn around and head back to Melbourne.
The 160km will benefit from 17km of coastal riding between Safety Beach and Mornington, arguably the most beautiful stretch of the bay. This will include 6.5km of closed roads heading north between Safety Beach and Mount Martha.
The RACV 160km Rosebud Return heads down the beautiful Mornington Peninsula to Rosebud, where you turn around and head back the same way to Melbourne via Mt Martha, Frankston, Mordialloc and St Kilda.
The route is relatively flat with just over 800 metres of elevation gain. The steepest parts of the ride occurs at Oliver’s Hill (600 metres of climbing @ 6%), Balcombe Hill (roughly 2.4km of climbing @ 4.4%), then just a gradual climb with some rollers thrown in for 6km as you come out of Mornington and head towards Frankston.
