Key definitions

Workplace: This is defined as one organisation on one site. If the organisation you work for has employees at a number of sites, each site needs to register as separate workplace in order to be part of the National Workplace Challenge.

Organisation: All worksites of a business, government organisation or NGO throughout Australia.

Largest percentage: Percentage of participation will be calculated using total number of individual registrations in your workplace divided by total number of employees estimated by Workplace Coordinator on registration. Calculations will be made using the workplace address information supplied as part of the individual registrations.

National Schools Challenge: This category includes primary and secondary schools and colleges. It does not include TAFEs and universities which are counted as workplaces. The award goes to the school with the highest percentage of students riding on l Ride to Work Day. To be eligible, schools must participate in the Ride2School Hands Up survey on 13 October. Register for Hands Up at www.ride2school.com.au

* where the percentage of participation results are tied, the workplace with the largest number of participants will be declared the winner
