Schools seeking Volunteers
Is your school looking for Volunteer support with Bike Ed training, HandsUp! data collection or any other active travel events or activities? If so, please get in touch as we may be able to find a local Volunteer to help out at your school.
If you are a school looking for Volunteer support, please click below to complete a short survey advising the activity or activities you would like support with and the date/time; please try to provide at least 3 weeks notice to give us enough time to find a suitable and available Volunteer. Our Volunteers have a wealth of knowledge and a genuine interest in encouraging students to be active and healthy.

Volunteers may be able to assist with:
- Bike Ed programs
- Teaching children to ride a bike
- Bike rides
- Healthy breakfasts
- Planning, promoting and running events such as National Ride2School Day, Walktober and Walk Safely to School Day
- Bike maintenance or basic bike checks
- Training for multi-day rides, such as the RACV Great Victorian Bike Ride
- Quiet Neighbourhood Routes
- Part Way is OK
- Promotion of active travel such as handing out stickers or conducting a HandsUp! count
All volunteers have:
- Working with Children check
Specialist volunteers also have:
- Bike Ed qualification
