Bicycle Network: About R2S
Meet the Ride2School Team
The Ride2School team is passionate about getting more students riding and walking to school more often.
| Jeff McPhan
Ride2School Facilities Manager Jeff’s role within the Behaviour Change team allows him to focus on the journey to school. That is, improving the facilities and infrastructure between home and the school gate. With a Bachelor of Recreation Management and having worked in local councils, Jeff is passionate and proud about the work he is now doing toward improving the physical activity levels of children and seeing them enjoy riding to school. PROFILE: Jeff really enjoys getting out in the great outdoors camping and catching a bigger fish than his brother! He rides his bike for pure enjoyment, as what better way is there to see the world than on a bike? You'll also see Jeff around Melbourne racking up the kilometres commuting to work each day. |

Alex Hender Ride2School Project Coordinator Alex is one of Bicycle Network’s behaviour change project coordinators. He is keen to use his skills and experience to get more students riding, walking, scootered and otherwise actively travelling to school, more often. His favourite way to get to appointments with schools and other stakeholders is by cargo bike. It shows that we’re serious about our riding! PROFILE: Being car-free for over two years now, Alex finds the best way to explore the City of Melbourne is by riding plenty of kilometres on the weekends; the destination is often less important than the journey.
