Bicycle Network: RACV Great Victorian Bike Ride

As a member of Bicycle Network Victoria you are covered for the following under our travel insurance policy 

Loss of deposits

What you are covered for:
You will be covered for your loss entry fee, travel and accommodation including deposits for the RACV Great Victorian Bike Ride

When you are covered:
• If you are sick or injured (family can claim if you unexpectly die)
• The unexpected death, injury or sickness of any relative, close business associate who is under the age of 75
• Unforeseen cancellation of schedule public transport
• Jury duty
• Natural disaster or hijack of any aircraft or public transport
• Being a full time student and having to sit for supplementary academic exams
• Being retrenched from usual full-time employment

How much will I be covered:
The amount you have paid, minus the $150 excess

What you need to do to claim:
As soon as you know you will not be able to attend please contact Bicycle Network Victoria
You will need to cancel from the event in writing, please click here to send a message

What else you need to know
• You must cancel before the event or 7 days from when you experienced the circumstance that caused you to cancel your participation in the event
• You will not be covered if you participate in any part of the event
• If you are injured or sick, you will need to provide doctors certificate
• This can only be claimed when participating in Bicycle Network Victoria events
 

Baggage and travel documents

What you are covered for:
1. loss or damage to personal property, such as items usually carried by tourists and travellers
2. loss or damage to unaccompanied personal effects, usually carried by tourists and travellers, which is carried in the same carriers, or nominated carrier, based on your travel documentation.

How much will I be covered:
Cover for up to $1,000 minus the excess for damage to
What will you need to make a claim:
• Make contact with Bicycle Network Victoria and complete a report
• Complete the claim form (sent to you after making a report with Bicycle Network Victoria.
• Receipts of purchase of items that you are claiming.
