I loved riding around near Forrest (between Gellibrand and Birregurra), the Lavers Hill climb and Turtans Track. These roads were so quiet and some of the hidden gems were simply spectactular.
The decent into Lorne via Deans Marsh is steep but fun and riding the Great Ocean Road to Torquay is definately unforgettable.

Mount Gambier is my home town so I have a soft spot for the Blue Lake. The lake is situated in one of three extinct volcanic craters, in November the lake changes colour from its winter steel blue to a brilliant turquoise blue.
Riding Lavers Hill is a challenge. It is a well-known hill in the Otway Ranges and should be familiar to regular RACV Great Vic riders. With plenty of fluid, fuel and persistence this hill is manageable and will provide riders with a great sense of achievement when they reach the summit.
