Bicycle Network: RACV Great Victorian Bike Ride
Camping and Accommodation
Information on everything to expect at your home away from home.
Camping
It is important to remember the RACV Great Victorian Bike Ride is a camping holiday, with the majority of riders pitching their own tent each day on the campsite. To make the most of the ride, ensure that your camping equipment is in good working order and appropriate for the ride.
We suggest using dome tents that are quick and easy to put up and take down, however you must consider those which are likely to be best suited to your preferences and requirements. We recommend you visit your local camping store and talk with them about the options available. Always remember that you are likely to experience a variety of weather and wind conditions, so you need to be appropriately prepared.
If camping is not for you, perhaps you would like to consider one of our Sleep Easy options or the Luxury Support and Accommodation Package from AllTrails.

Packing and tags
When getting ready to pack your bags, remember there are two options — 1 bag up to 20kg or 2 bags up to 10kg each. You will receive two bag tags with your ride entry and you simply put both of your bag tags on one 20kg bag or put one on each of two 10kg bags.
Luggage Trucks
Luggage trucks transport your luggage from campsite to campsite so you don't have to worry about carrying it yourself. During the ride, those who arrive at the campsite first generally help to unload the bags.
