VicRoads HQ gets priorities right
22 November 2012. VicRoads has contributed a strip of land from its head ofice property to ensure a new section of bike path is constructed in Kew.
Using funds carried over from 2011/12 construction has began of an of road path linking Wellington Street to the recently added signalised crossing of Denmark Street at Stephenson Street.
The project will untangle a challenging route for commuters wishing to avoid a busy peak hour road and especially, the right hand turns required to make this route viable.
In a welcome gesture VicRoads have completed a land title swap in order th hand over a parcel of their 'front yard' to help make this project possible. The path will be additional to the current foot path.
