Busselton to Dunsborough

Busselton to Dunsborough path accelerated

6 September 2012. The WA government has provided an additional $750,000 to accelerate the completion of the Busselton to Dunsborough path at Toby's inlet.

The project will complete a 31km cycle link between Dunsborough and Port Geographe .

"The bicycle link between Busselton and Dunsborough has been talked about for decades and it has been a long-held aspiration of both conimunities to have a cycle link between the two towns," the Minister for Transport, Troy Buswell said.

"This money will assist the city to deliver the final link in that chain, which is effectively across Toby Inlet and then a link into the dual use path into Dunsborough, so at long last cyclists will be able to travel from Busselton through to Dunsborough on a purpose-built cycleway and that’s a great outcome for all the people who live in the local area."

Together with local funding there is now $1.5M available, enabling the project to be completed in two years rather than the four or five originally anticipated.
