Linking Keilor to Highpoint Precinct with a new river crossing and link through the Defense Site currently under redevelopment

Election opportunity for candidates to show support

20 August 2012 Bicycle Network Victoria has identified this project as a local council priority for the 2012 Local Government election. Candidates should be ready to support the development and full or partial funding of this project in conjunction with State Government and can tell riders in their Council area their position by posting their candidates' statement at VoteBike.

There is an urgent need to link Keilor to the Highpoint precinct and the inner network along the Maribyrnong River. With the Defense Site (light blue area) under review by Places Victoria and the recent Buckley Street Underpass (indicated in pink), this corridor could easily link the large number of workers and customers wanting to trqavel to and from this area.
