Bicycle Network: Metro Routes

Moonee Valley Council does bike lanes. And then some.

 25 July 2012 Not only have Council placed new bike lanes on Woodland Street to the east of Strathmore Station but they have taken the extra step and added enhanced bike lanes with extra space, delineated with chevroning on both sides of the lane.

This will help to separate riders not only from adjacent moving vehicles but also parked cars opening doors. This innovative design is now being considered by other Councils.

The campaign now moves to the western end of Woodland Street to get bike lanes up to Bulla Road.
