An important transport route for riders. This is the obvious choice for residents to connect to the new Moorabool St bridge Bike Path heading to and from the Geelong CBD
Election opportunity for candidates to show support
15 August 2012 Bicycle Network Victoria has identified this project as a local council priority for the 2012 Local Government election. Candidates should be ready to support the development and full or partial funding of this project in conjunction with State Government and can tell riders in their Council area their position by posting their candidates' statement at VoteBike.
Lanes needed on High St
10 September 2010 High St is the obvious choice and already popular with the current riders heading into town. The space is available as parking soaks up much of the left lane. Retaining the right hand existing vehicle whilst formalising the space already used by riders will encourage more people to commute by bikie and help relieve the congestino in the Geelong CBD.
With the new Bike Path being constyructed across the Moorabool St Bridge the obvious next step is to capitolise on the current Bracks Government investment and connect the Bridge path to the people of Belmont and beyond.
