Waurn Ponds to Marshall Station Waterpipe Trail

Utilising the existing Water pipe easement to link the soon to be built path along Anglesea Rd to Marshall Station

Election opportunity for candidates to show support

15 August 2012 Bicycle Network Victoria has identified this project as a local council priority for the 2012 Local Government election. Candidates should be ready to support the development and full or partial funding of this project in conjunction with State Government and can tell riders in their Council area their position by posting their candidates' statement at VoteBike.

New bike corridor identified

May 2010 There is a significant opportunity to use the existing water pipe corridor to provide a direct, well connected transport and recreation route to link Marshall Station,  Armstrong Creek growth corridor through to Waurn Ponds and Deakin University Campus.

The Geelong Bypass is planning to build a path along Angelsea Rd back toward the University Campus. With the recent funding announcement of Section 4C of the Bypass to link Angelsea Rd across to the Surf Coast Highway, we are looking for a commitment to get a path built along this section. It makes sense to utilise the Waterpipe corridor to best serve the exisitng community north of the rail corridor. Marshall Station will soon recieve a Parkiteer cage.
