Walhalla Goldfields Railway Centenary Celebrations invites riders

28 April 2010. May is the month that the Walhalla Goldfields Railway will be celebrating their centenary with a range of events. Click here to see the range of events planned.

The Railway has invited riders to participate in any number of centenary events, particularly the "A Moment in Time" photo event, replicating the historic photograph of the launch of the train 100 years ago. The photo event will take place on 16 May. Click on the above link to find out more.

This is a prime example of the great ways tourist railways and bike riders can work together to further sustainable regional tourism.

Riders are recommended (if driving) to park at Erica or Rawson and ride in to Thomson Station on the Walhalla Rail Trail. Road riding the rest of the way to Walhalla is required.
