How your Membership helps

Bicycle Network Victoria Members contribute every day to our successful campaigns through their Membership fees. In addition, Members are given exclusive opportunities to involve themselves in our key campaigns efforts. For example, Members can ride with their local mayor at Ride to Work Day as part of our annual Mayors on Bikes.

Bicycle Network Victoria concentrates its campaigns effort on:

• creating better conditions for riding. A core part of this is getting more places for people to ride, but we also work on getting better laws and policies for cycling.
• helping individuals make the best of existing conditions. This includes targeting particular groups and helping them overcome the barriers to cycling, for instance creating cycle friendly workplaces so more people can ride to work.

We focus on strategic campaigns that will get the best long term improvement for the most potential cyclists and doing things that would not happen without us.

We rely on individuals and local groups (including bicycle user groups) to make things better in their local area. We work with local groups on projects that we both agree on that are of state or regional significance (e.g. a major cycling infrastructure project).

We also provide information and resources to others, including local and state government to make things better for cycling. This is about increasing the capacity for other to make things better for cycling. This information and resources are available in our 'How to Build the Network' section.

Two ways to join or renew

1.  You can join or renew a Bicycle Network Victoria Membership online using a secure online form. Click on one of the links below. Doing so online saves resources so that we can maximise our funding for campaigns.

If you need to add or subtract people to/from your Membership then please phone us on 8376 8888 or renew your Membership on the form we have sent you. Apologies for any inconvenience - we hope to remedy the situation soon.

2. If you do not have access to the internet then phone us on 8376 8888 or download the form below to join Bicycle Network Victoria. Consider a direct debit agreement - this will save both you and us time and money when it comes to renewing. Click on the 'direct debit' link below.

What happens next?

Renewing Members will receive an up-to-date Membership card within approximately 2 weeks of renewing.  If you have just signed up as a new member we will send you a New Member pack including Membership card within approximately 2 weeks.  Please let us know if neither have arrived within 2 or 3 weeks of your signing up. (If you paid by credit card please check whether or not your card has been debited or if your cheque was cashed before you ring us - this will speed things up if there is a problem.)

One card is sent per membership. Additional or replacement Membership cards are available for $10 each.

How much is Membership?

Concession: $85.00  (pensioner, fulltime student, unwaged - proof required)

Individual:   $105.00

Family of 2: $125.00   (a couple or 1parent and 1 child <21 or full-time student <25)

Family 3+:   $135.00 (a couple or single parent with any number of children <21 or  full-time student <25)
