RACV and RACT Bike Assist
Victorian and Tasmanian bike riders can sign up for roadside breakdown assistance through the Bike Assistservice offered by both RACV and RACT.
RACT Bike Assist
Bike Assist helps riders when their bike cannot be ridden due to an accident, mechanical problem or puncture.
The aim of Bike Assist is to get your bicycle going. If a puncture cannot be repaired at the roadside, or the bicycle cannot be ridden due to a mechanical problem, such as a broken chain or damage from an accident, a taxi will be dispatched to transport the bicycle and the rider to their home address or chosen destination.

RACV Bike Assist
Family (2 adults, 2 children under the age of 21): $42.50
Discounts of up to 20% apply for RACV members based on their membership card colour.
RACV Bike Assist is designed to assist cyclists in the event that their bicycle cannot be ridden due to an accident, mechanical problem or puncture. You have peace of mind in knowing that if RACV cannot fix the problem a taxi will be dispatched to transport yourself and your bicycle to your chosen destination.
RACV Bike Assist - single cover includes:
- Up to eight service calls per subscription year
- A taxi to transport you and your bike to your chosen destination, up to the value of $50 per incident, if RACV cannot fix the problem.
RACV Bike Assist - family cover includes:
- Up to eight service calls per subscription year
- Two taxis up to the value of $100 per incident to transport you, your family and bikes to your chosen destination if RACV cannot fix the problem.
