Bicycle Network: Women's Cycling
About the Women's Cycling website
This website was developed by Bicycle Network Victoria with crucial support from a number of organisations and input from our readers.
This website was developed by Bicycle Network Victoria with support from Sport and Recreation Victoria's Department for Victorian Communities; the Australian Government's Department of the Environment and Water Resources; the Australian Greenhouse Office and the Cycling Promotion Fund. Our aim is to develop a cycling culture among women and to encourage more women to ride more often.
The Women's Cycling website is an outcome of the 'Revolutions for Women' research project conducted at Deakin University's School of Health and Social Development and funded by the Victorian Government's Women in Sport Program. This project investigated gender differences in cycling as well as the motivations, supports and constraints on women cycling. Site content is informed by the findings of the 'Revolutions for Women' project, and by discussion and feedback from our readers. We encourage you to contact us with your ideas on how we can make this website meaningful for you.
