This Rail Trail is located approximately 200 km from Melbourne and is easily accessible by trail.
Opened in 2008, the Camperdown – Timboon (Coast to Crater) Rail Trail passes through a variety of scenic landscapes including bushland, rich farmland and the open volcanic plains of Corangamite.
The Curdies Trestle Bridge, a feature of the trail was opened to the public on Saturday 19 June 2010 with new decking, handrails and safety fencing, allowing visitors to travel from Timboon to Merrett's Rd without crossing any roads.
Camperdown lies 200km. west of Melbourne on the Princes Highway. Vline train services operate daily from Melbourne to Warrnambool. You can begin your Rail Trail experience at Camperdown Railway Station.
