Audax - Endurance riding
Audax Australia is a non profit national cycling organisation specialising in on-road rides
Audax Australia is a non-profit national cycling organisation specialising in on-road rides from 50-1200km, and off-road rides from 35-200km. Rides 200km and over are recognised internationally by Randonneurs Mondiaux and Audax Club Parisien.
Where and when
Audax rides are non-competitive, long-distance tours by bicycle called 'randonnees'. The challenge of Audax is not in racing, but in riding at your own pace to finish within the time limit.
Audax events are held in most parts of Australia, and you will be made very welcome when participating in rides in other regions. Rides are open to all reasonably fit riders. Non-Audax members are most welcome to join our friendly and supportive participants.
Gateway to more
Audax can be a great bridge between other types of riding. Riders who have completed a Great Victorian Bike Ride® should be able to make the relatively small step up to Audax rides.
Conversely, Audax often gives many riders a platform for taking on events such as Around the Bay in a Day
