Bicycle Training Australia
New bicycle maintenance and riding courses started in Kensington.
A not-for-profit social enterprise, Bicycle Training Australia has a series of bicycle maintenance and riding courses for the public. The courses are held in the evenings and on weekends at a training facility and workshop at Unit 5, 60 Stubbs Street, Kensington, Melbourne, close to the Moonee Valley bike path, Macaulay and Kensington railway stations and the Racecourse Road tram (57). Free parking is available in Stubbs Street.
Basic Bike Mechanics - 3 hours, Tuesday evenings 5.30-8.30pm.
Bicycle Gears and Brakes - 3 hours, Thursday evenings 5.30-8.30pm.
Advanced Bicycle Mechanics – 3½ hours each Sunday afternoon for 5 weeks, 1.00pm - 4.30pm. with an optional 3-hour ride after course completion.

Gran Prix Bicycles: maintenance workshops
Introductory Classes, Womens Introductory Classes, Advanced Classes, Mountain Bike Master Classes, Road Bike Master Classes and Corporate Workshops that run at your work place.
Gran Prix Bicycles has been running various bicycle maintenance classes for the past 15 years. Our philosophy is to encourage more cyclists to have the skills to carry out essential and basic maintenance, ensuring cycling is a pleasant experience.
These classes are run in a single session either on a week night or a Sunday afternoon.
Introductory Class - This class is for those that have limited bicycle maintenance knowledge and want a general knowledge base to help keep riding smoothly.
Womens Introductory Class - This class is for ladies that have limited bicycle maintenance knowledge and want to learn some of the maintenance basics, run by our Workshop Manager Jess.
Advanced Class - This class is for those that have already performed the "Introductory Maintenance Class" or are already knowledgeable in basic maintenance and want to learn more hands on skills.
Mountain Bike Master Class - This class is tailored to those that already own a mountain bike and are keen to master the skills to keep it in tip top shape.
Road Bike Master Class - This class is tailored to those that already own a road bike and are keen to master the skills to keep it in tip top shape.
Gran Prix Bicycles also runs Corporate Workshops. Corporate workshop clients have included the Madman Entertainment, Elwood College, EPA, RACV Club and Esso Australia. Gran Prix can come to your workplace and run hands-on workshops or organise a group session at Gran Prix Bicycles.

Human Powered Cycles
Human Powered Cycles offers regular bicycle maintenance training workshops. These are hosted from their workshop in Thornbury, VIC.
Our standard scheduled workshops are Introductory Home Bicycle Mechanics and Intermediate Home Bicycle Mechanics. We run a training session every second Saturday and rotate between the two levels. Check the upcoming classes on our web site.
The introductory class covers:
- removal of wheels
- puncture repair
- safety check of bike
- ergonomics and riding style
The intermediate class moves on to:
- brake set up and adjustment
- gear set up and adjustment
- replacing cables
- a more in depth safety check of your bike

Goldcross Cycles - SmartRider Bicycle Maintenance Classes
The Goldcross SmartRider Program provides basic bike maintenance classes for all Goldcross customers. The service has been designed to promote responsible bike ownership, educate customers on the way a bicycle functions and wears over time and how to practice safe riding skills. All classes are conducted by qualified mechanics.
All classes are FREE for customers and usually take place in the evening from 7-9pm.

City of Sydney - Free Bike Maintenance Courses
The Bike Maintenance for Beginners course is a free course available to any individual over 18 years old who wants to learn basic bike maintenance. The course aims to equip each person with the skills and knowledge to have a well maintained bike so that they can cycle safely and reliably.

Clarence St Cyclery Maintenance Courses
Don't let a flat tyre or a squeaky chain ruin your next ride. Our experienced mechanics can show you the fast and easy ways to change a tube, adjust your gears and clean and care for your bike.
Our free maintenance classes are held in our workshop on selected Thursday evenings from 6pm until 7pm. The relaxed but informative format makes these courses popular with both men and women.
These classes are held on the 1st Thursday of the month.
If you would like to attend, simply make your way down to our workshop just before 6pm. You dont need to bring your bike.
