We all have a massive challenge ahead of us: more of our citizens are riding, and riding more often; they are riding in places and at times that were never envisaged, and placing stresses and strains on physical infrastructure and political patience alike.

Bike Futures is a Bicycle Network project that supports people who are working in, with or alongside Local Government in Australasia. Bike Futures aims to build the capacity of local government across Australasia to get More People Cycling More Often
 

Bike Futures online is a place for ideas, solutions and tools as well shared experiences. We aim to support you through the whole cycle of bicycle development; from the data collection and planning, through design, implementation, promotion and evaluation.

People who hold bicycle responsibility in local government have told us that they can feel isolated.

Attending our annual Bike Futures conference will create opportunities for you to connect with others who face similar challenges.

Bike Futures online also provides councils and planners with a place to exchange ideas and experiences. We invite you to tell us about the bike infrastructure issues you face and what you have achieved so we can share this information with your peers.
