Travel diary
The travel diary system can be used to better understand riding trends.
Travel diaries can be helpful in revealing more detail about bicycle riding. The diary system is expensive to run and historically in Melbourne the sample size has been too small to rely on for bicycle investment. The data is however interesting and useful.
VicRoads prepared the following reports from 17 000 household travel diaries.:
