The fourth step in a bicycle program is to monitor and evaluate the infrastructure.
Monitoring and evaluation programs can be run immediately after the installation of a new facility. It is recommended that infrastructure audits are conducted regularly. These will reveal maintenance needs such as fading painted lines as well as any risk factors that might have developed such as growth of vegetation.
