The Board have set the following guidelines for Co-option to the Board.
Guidelines for the search process for Co-opted Board members
Each year the Board will identify its collective capabilities in the light of its responsibility to exercise:
Oversight of the organisation
Insight into the context in which the organisation operates
Foresight
The collective capabilities of Board include:
Reputation
Skills
Experience
Networks
Specialist knowledge
The Board will then identify ‘desired capabilities’ that would extend or complement the elected Board over the next one to three years and make it more effective in the discharge of its responsibilities.
The Board will search for individuals that: meet some or all of these capabilities and are available for co-option.
The Board will draw from this pool to co-opt Board members consistent with Section 33 of the Constitution.
