David Smith
David Smith was elected to the Bicycle Network Victoria Board in 2011. He is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.

David is currently, and has been for the past 13 years a Partner at Corrs Chambers Westgarth a national commercial law firm.
He has experience in advising numerous large not-for-profit companies on corporate governance issues and has previous experience on a not-for-profit board as a Director of the Bone Marrow Donor Institute. In his student days he was a director of the Melbourne University Student Union Summer School – a not-for-profit program to prepare disadvantaged students for VCE.
David believes there are many strands to tackling safety issues. They include education for drivers, cyclists and the general public, improving cycling infrastructure and lobbying legislators to treat cycling issues with greater priority and consistency.
