Meet the Communications team

Ride On is Australia's most widely-read bike riding magazine. It arrives in Members' mailboxes six times a year.

Simon Vincett

Editor

PROFILE:  Simon Vincett has been writing and editing for Ride On magazine for six years. He rides to work, rides his son to childcare in a trailer and heads out on a road bike on the weekends. He and his wife share a car with friends but they mostly ride to visit friends, do their shopping and get away for a barbeque in the park. Simon’s favourite bike trip to date was across the Nullarbor from Adelaide to Perth but he has high hopes for future family rides when his son is ready.

Margot McGovern

Multi-channel Content Sub-Editor

Margot has "...come down from the ivory tower into the real world." While completing her PhD in creative writing, Margot has combined her love of writing, and bikes, and has joined the Publications Team, working on social media, and also researching and writing about exciting new products for Ride On's readers.

PROFILE: Coming over from Adelaide, Margot has become come a part of the Beach Road bunch, sporting her lyrca on the weekends. Margot  also rides a preppy, pale blue fixie and during the week, wears dresses and takes it slow, taking in the sights of Melbourne on her way to work. Before moving to Melbourne Margot was part of an all-girl bicycle gang and her bike dream is to cycle around Europe.

Iain Treloar

Multi-channel Content Sub-Editor

Iain joins the Ride On Magazine team, bringing a journalism major, love of writing and seven years of bike industry experience. He’s looking forward to making his mark in the magazine with his distinctive writing style and keen editorial eye.

PROFILE: After several years racing track and road, Iain has taken a step back in the intensity of his riding style. Besides riding to work, you will find him out and about on one of his fleet of bikes – usually in denim, not lycra - with friends, as often as possible for the sheer joy of it – and of course enjoying the post-ride coffee at one of Melbourne's many cafes.
