Lake Hume Challenge Rides 23rd Feb 2013 Presented by Rotary Club Of Bellbridge Lake Hume. Front and rear escorts and refreshment points. 60 spot prizes at finish point. 133km advanced cyclist, 100km medium/hard or 40km family ride. 7.00am The 133km ‘Granya Grind’ for the advanced cyclist, a challenging ride not for the faint hearted! Cyclists will discover the natural beauty of the Granya State Park as they make the return tour. Granya is a picturesque hamlet overlooking Lake Hume. 8.00am The 100km ‘Tallangatta Tour’ will embrace sweeping bends and breath taking views. As the Weir has been full this year it abounds with wildlife, not only the water based kind but the feathered kind as well, including pelicans. An awesome sight. 9.00am The 40km third ride is ideal for anyone who can ride a bike and has a sense of adventure, the ‘Weir Wall Waddle” takes in 40 km of moderate riding along the Murray Valley Highway to Lake Hume (wall currently closed). Start and finish in Australia Park, Albury. On completion of ride a BBQ is held to celebrate your success. Plenty of spot prizes. Presented by the Rotary Club of Bellbridge Lake Hume, major beneficiary The Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre; The cancer centre will mean a significant improvement for people undergoing treatment for cancer in this region. All funds will be directed to the Wellness Centre in the new facility.
